Do you know that there is something wrong with your crank or is this just a sensible precaution?
Bill Bune in MN does a great job of rebuilding cranks. I'd send it up there and have them strip and check it and then you'll know what you need.
Crank parts are getting hard to find. Dino on this board offers bearings and conrods.

I do also the rebuilding, but I think it's too expensive about the double shipping from out of Europe
Oil seals are dead, you are in the true, you must open your crankshaft.travis518 wrote:i have the motor stripped down now, just thought id get it done, the bike was a barn find and has not run in 20 years.
More than viton seals does not like to be out of oil, with the yars you have also rust and electric rust between rods and pins and between bearings and balls...

Re: need help with my t-500 project
Thanks,
does he do some T500 special parts ? I did not see.
For me, rebuilding (shaft) is disassemble and reassemble and change any bad parts but what's about
-rebuildind & TRUE ?
-truing for 50$ ?
-true and weld for 75$ minimum ? with good crank
- good crank is good crankshaft ?
Sorry for my question, but I will put english in my website and I don't want to do too much mistakes...and I would know also about what does he means
