Can't seem to find online parts fiches that go back to 1970

Post by lrutt »

Wasn't long ago they were there and I could look up PN's for engine seals etc. and see if I could still find them. Bike is a 1970 T250II Hustler (the high pipe srambler type bike).

Any known still active sites that would go back to 1970 so I can try to find seals and bearings for a crank rebuild.

Looks like Bill Bune requires the parts along with the crank when doing a build. I'd strip first as I expect the bearings are still very good and just need seals, but I need to find them first.

Any leads on good seal kits would also be welcome.

thanks.

Dealers update their software from time to time, so the list of parts inventory links also changes.

Alpha Sports tends to have high prices.
They usually have the parts diagram but often don't list numbers for NLA parts.

Partzilla has good prices but their parts diagram can be a bit screwy.
They list the T250II & T250R/J as 1972 models.

Paul Miller has the set of crank seals on eBay for $69.

A printed parts manual can make it easier to get part numbers & chase down NLA parts.
They typically are available via eBay.

The early gear indicator switches were made out of aluminum and in my opinion fer superior to the later plastic ones. The plastic ones have been known to crack. I hope that's not your case as there is no fix. Used ones do show up on eBay though + it doesn't have to be off a 380. The GT550 and GT750 use the exact same part. The other bikes never see the '6'.

EDIT! I put this in the wrong place. can't delete. Sorry
