I just read this post even though its been on the site for a long time.

I am restoring a GT550K & would be very interested in a set of those bearings

dinogt - I had included a link to the document Koyo sent me further up the page - here it is again. I had a few other emails from Koyo in Japan as well which talked a bit about the fit (C3) and about the oil slinger collar that fits into the side.

Sorry, I don't read all, it is too difficult to me with out pictures.

Well - you are the only one so far ! The bearings don't often fail so unless you are very unlucky you should be OK. So many of the other parts for this engine are not available either (con rods for example) so its actually a bigger problem than just bearings. At least a decent machine shop can cobble together an alternative fairly easily as it is a standard bearing size - its just not straight forward.

I have not split the cases yet & had the crank checked out, but I hope it only requires the seals to be replaced. Do the 550 cranks have a reputation for being strong?

I would have said 'yes' - all the Suzuki triples seem to be over designed The GT550 engine may have other problems (starter clutch for example), but not usually crank related.

Thanks for the info, I have a new updated starter clutch assy waiting.

When I complete the t500m I am restoring the 550 is next
