It is the size of the mountains, and how they seem to be in your face as you aproach them I was thinking of. A lot more spectacular than what we've got, but at least we can ride all year round though. Living in the driest continant has its advantages. Central Australia is fantastic at the moment now the drought has had a good kick in the teeth. Where we went in Sept was all green, country that I've never seen green in 30 years of riding.
