I saw some Mikunis on a Triumph Bonneville a couple of years ago and they were highly polished. Whats the trick here? I polished my VM32s but they quickly lost their shine even under a coat of lacquer.
Whats the best method to poliish them for a lasting shine?

I would think one of those media tumblers like they use for shell casings or stones would work. You'd have to find one big enough and do it one at a time but the small media should get everything shiny but you'd really have to be careful not to get it into the passageways etc.

I dont think that the carbs were chromed. They were good but not chrome good.
I can get a resonable(much better than normal dull finish) shine using solvite but the porblem is maintaining it. I guess a fuel resistant lacquer might be the answer but what?
