We've had 15 new Suzuki 2 Stroke people join since we migrated to the new server. If you're a new guy, I encourage you to pop in and introduce yourself. Looking forward to lots of great discussions and projects.
For all the vets here, remember, you can check the Memberlist and click on Joined to see who's the latest additions to the forum. So far, the new software is proving resistent to spambots, but there could be a few human spammers (spamho's) who actually make the effort to register. They are fairly easy to spot, they usually will post a WWW link to something like freegold4sale dot com or some obvious spam site. If you see one, send a PM to one of the moderators and we can zapped them.
If one actually gets a spam post made, all you have to do is hit the Report Post button and that will alert the mods.

We have had a couple spammers make it through the verification process. One or two a week is easily manageable, and guys like Terry are doing their part by reporting the spammer--this makes it easy to find and remove the spammers.
I will check the forum from time to time, and there are plenty of moderators and Allen is an admin too, so we should not have any problem keeping the forum clean of spam.
I've zapped a few flagged spam messages but as far as I know, I do not have access to zap a spammer. I think that's an admin level ability. If I'm wrong on this, could you PM me some instructions please?

Thanks,

I think you are right, only an admin can actually zap the spammer and his spam. Please be sure to report the spammer before zapping his messages, that way Allen has a way of knowing there is a spammer to zap.
Another easy way to detect spammers even before they post message 1, check the newest members; if they have a website listed, and it is pointing to cialis or pron, etc. then you can tell they are spamhos.
