Well I just dumped $1000 into my resto on my 72, and was getting ready to start putting in the new spokes and many other little things on including the new Jemo's.... Well I just got orders back to the sand box.... now my bike will sit for another undisclosed amount of time rotting away in the garage while I'm away. Timing has never been on my side with this bike. I have wanted this exact bike from the first time I saw it when I was 12 and it was rotting away in my neighbours barn. He paid my dad $200 to get it running and I got to ride it with him once. I can still remember that entire ride. Now so close to getting it back to what I consider 100% street ready just to be thwarted again. I want to love this bike and to love to ride it.....
I almost got aggervated enough to sell it...
BUT it's time to drain the fluids push it back into the corner and let it set.....
Sorry just venting....
getting frustrated....

Venting is allowed, and understandable. On the bike's behalf, I would recommend not draining the antifreeze, as it could allow corrosion to rear it's ugly head while you're gone. If you empty your gas tank, it would help to splash a bit of oil around inside for the same reason. Your trusty buffalo will still love you when you get back. They are a patient breed. Cheers, and keep us posted on your return.
