Kris, we need the angle on the reed box to raise the carbs for clearance and to optimize gas flow.
We may not need as much as 12 degrees, but let's start there and I'll mock it up and see where that puts us.
All these guys have different needs and we're trying to come up with one solution that will work for all of them.

Auto cad is a DXF or .DWG file, and i think 'auto desk', can read those. if not ill do a pdf and you can print it to scale. Ill put some dimeneions on it, so when you print it, you can physically measure across said dimension to ensure its accuracy.

TZ and I have been working together recently, and we have come thogether on a good design that should work amongst all of us. I drew up a 3d model, sent him some 2D drawings for template fitment. And after a couple changes we think we've got something concrete. I made some model changes and will post a jpeg of the model right here today.

HORSEPOWER!! MUST HAVE HORSEPOWER!!! And tons of torque off idle. And great gas mileage of course. Have I left anything out? It's getting exciting!!! Great work guys. Cheers.

Horespower is easy - how much do you want?
Unfortunately reeds on a GT cost HP at the top end because of the port layout. Of course anything is available at a price. Look at what Brett in Sydney has done with a new cast block, studs moved crankcases welded and machined, 3 reed cages etc. Serious investment of time and $ for serious horsepower.
With a stock piston ported motor it's not too hard to get to get to the large side of 100 horses, but there is no way to channel that through a stock rolling chassis without losing life or limb (or what's left of your mind with this combo).
We could team up with Bill Tripp and offer a complete, ported and machined block but I hate to think what the cost will be.
Let's hypothesize for a moment: These are ball park figures and I have not stopped to check them all. that's hardly the point.
Machine the block $100 to take the adapter plates
Porting $300 Boost ports plus stage 2 or 3 porting
Weld adapter plates $100
Adapter plates $100
Reed boxes $150
V force reeds $350 Second hand are cheaper
machine block faces $50
Bore and hone $200 including shipping
Pistons $300 I haven't checked recently
Pipes $750
FlatslideCarbs $450
Crank rebuild and pin $250
Straight cut primaries $900 Nova at 595 pounds+shipping
Undercut trans dogs $300 R&D in Florida - a guess
And that gives say 120 HP at the rear wheel and 80 pound feet of torque
Replacement frame $3,000 Framecrafters or Curtis in Canada
Wheels and tires and brakes $500
Forks -07 GSXR1000 $200 Cheap from ebay
Wiring
Body work
Lights
Your results may vary. How fast did you say you wanted to go?
All you keep is probably the VIN sticker

Richard.
Truth be known, I would be a happy guy if I saw an honest 100 HP. I suspect any more than that would border on an unruly monster for any serious street use. I have most of what you list, sort of. Fresh crank and first over pistons, the reeds and manifolds, a few choices of larger carbs, a 2.25 mm lift plate, Tomcat pipes, etc. Even access to an aircraft welder/machinest, to handle the details I'm not able or willing to tackle myself. I suspect the guys in the group who are interested in Kris's creations, are more or less hands on types as well, to keep costs in check, and the experience level high. You seem to have a better than average grasp on the whole porting subject, so I might pick your brains at some point for pointers, when the time comes. If that's OK with you? The 3D imagery is awesome stuff, and I look forward to seeing the outcome. It'll be interesting to hear what some of the others are planning, to see where I am on the pecking order. Regardless, interesting stuff, all of it!! Cheers.

The more we talk about this; the happier I am with my honest 80 RWHP. That's why I started taking weight off instead of going for more power. I got it down by about 25 lbs, and another ten or so would be easy, but I LOVE my front brakes, and really don't want to drop a caliper and rotor.
If I'd break down and have it bored, I'd get a few more ponies also, but it runs so well now that it's difficult to justify boring it.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

I will be starting the prototype this week at the shop. Ill be making the mount plate that will be welded on to the cylinder also. This will mount the box to the cylinder as well as adapt the large reed opening to the smaller port opening. Richard said thta its about 35 mm across after a port job, but Ill get the specifics before I cut.
Ill post pics of the process as I go, to keep updates going, and if your in any way like me, you like to see things come to life. whether its a bike or a chunk of aluminum morphing into something usable.
Good stuff,
Kris
