Ive also seen some of the crossed Q emblems on some 75 cylinders as well. I believe there was an issue with the master cylinder cover design on 74s.
Does your rear brake plate carry a wear limit cast into it and the line on the pivot shaft??
Hmmm.... I'll check today. I reckon I have both designs in the collection.
I
think the one on the bike has a decal (rather than a casting) and a line on the pivot shaft.
My LH switch-block has a sliding indicator switch and no 'pass' button. I have a couple of RH blocks but I'm not sure now which one was on the bike originally - I think it's the one
without lettering?
The crossed Q barrel decals did carry through the into the M's, I think it was just a batch of decals that ran out before the A's.
I have a couple of M/C cover designs. The one I'm using on the bike is anodized gray aluminium, but I have a couple of black rubber ones as well.
I'm using 10mm mirrors (because they're possibly a bit more robust), but when I first got the bike it definitely had 8mm mounts.
The L's were the first model with 'Water Cooled' on the barrel, but porting was the same as the previous J and K. The 'revised' porting appeared from the M's onward along with higher gearing and non-crossover, tighter bend header pipes.
I love a thicker plot...
Cheers
