A cold day in hell?

Post by Coyote »

The temp norm here in Tulsa is around 100 with night time lows around 78. Today was only 88 and tonight's low is supposed to be 65. Tomorrow it's predicted to be only 85 with another 65 degree over night. I don't know how to act. It's like finding an oasis in the desert.
Ride baby. Ride. :D
Weather never comes along like this in the summer here. Normally it's too hot to ride@ 104 - 114. Then 135+ on the black top waiting on a traffic light.

You can have that heat Yote. 55 here in N. Wi today with on/off misty rain. Not a good day to ride but then again have the Suzi all torn down again. Gonna make that puppy run one way or the other. Too much time and money invested to stop now. Warmer tomorrow. Cheers

You have me to thank for this! I've been working out in this inferno all day every day for two weeks. Had surgery yesterday, so now I am laid up where I can't get out until next Friday and the predicted high for that time period is 92*, and it even rained about 1/2' last night.

Hey Chris,

We've had springlike weather all week with temps in the upper 70's and nights dropping down to upper 50's. Low humidity too. Thursday afternoon it got humid again and up into the 80's. Rained from this afternoon on and now it should be nice for a few days.

Trouble is, I've been ill with a sinus infection feeling like crap so no riding for me!

Plus don't forget, you get to laugh at us from November to March as we freeze our butts off during the cold weather.

This is great news for me, 'cause I'm leaving Phoenix Monday morning headed for Vintage Days. I hope this weather holds for a while. It was 114 here yesterday.

Spending the last year in Northern Ohio has ruined me... I spent a day and a half in North Georgia at the house and about died... Like a sauna...just dripping...

You can always put clothes on to stay warm....You can only take so many off...at least until the cops show up..

We are having the same weather here as in Jersey, just a little cooler at night, and it's nice. I was on the bike from 4:15 till 9:00 yesterday evening, and about an hour and a half this morning. Leather chaps actually were needed this morning.

Well, gents, Cowtown is finally getting a taste of summer......and it's the middle of July !!!!
Apparently the monsoon season has ended and now we're into late spring...or thereabouts. Does this mean we'll have fall until the end of November ??? :D

Ah stop it guys, you're making me cry. We ain't seen sun down here for weeks on end. It's cold and miserable and then wet every day - the poor bikes are just sitting there looking sad and lonely.

Enjoy the good weather and ride, ride, ride.

Oh, Oh.....I spoke too soon....or maybe the weather gods were listening. :(
Rain all this week so no riding to work!!! Crap !!!
But the weather-guessers say things will dry out by Saturday....
but then I'll be in Winterpeg for my nephew's wedding, so no riding NEXT weekend, either. Double crap !!!
On the upside, I'll be driving back to Cowtown after the wedding, bringing the little woman back from her almost-2-month sojourn in Winterpeg......
And then off to crankin'-hot BC (engine start on the 14th at 10 AM) with the boys for 8 or 9 days on our annual old farts' camping ride. Hopefully it'll stay nice and hot for us. Fingers crossed.....
