The Little Orange Monster......

Post by Jughead »

Well Guys and Gals I put Nearly 60 Miles on Suzi the Lil' Orange Monster Yesterday. The New Bottom end is doing Great except for a False Neutral Between 4th and 5th Gear. The Carbs still aren't right I'm going to tear them Apart this Morning and Drop one size on the Pilot Jets.I have 30's in them now but I think 27.5's may clear it up a bit.The Plugs are still Black but it's burning Clean Enough til the Plugs aren't looking Oily Just Sooty. The Porcelain around the Center Electrode is still really Dark Brown so you can Imagine what it looks like down in the Plug.

My Headlight Ears Vibrated Apart someplace Between Deals Gap and ???? but I have whats left of them Zip Tied to the Fork Tubes. I got some one Piece Ears on the way.Me and the Clubman bars aren't getting Along to well.Within 5 Miles I can't feel my Hands. My Feet Go to sleep at Around 10 miles and well......Willy goes to sleep around 15 Miles.  Thats some Damn Bad Vibration.May have to Break down this winter and do the GT Engine rubber mount Mod.

AT 100MPH my Helmet wants to spin around on my Head and Everything past 60MPH the Front end starts Bouncing. So I'm looking into a Triumph Thruxton Flyscreen and Guess I'll tear the Forks Apart pretty soon to see what the Problem is there.I'm guessing there probably isn't any Oil in the tubes.

I'm still having a Blast on the LOM .I'm getting Closer. My Chicken Strips are starting to get wider on my Tires too.

And I'll keep everyone updated on what else I got up my Sleeve.

It's great to hear that it's on the road, it is a very pretty bike.
(Am I the only one who collects pictures of everyones bikes?)

You can cure the 4th to 5th shift? I always thought it was something you had to just live with and get used to being firm with that shift.

It's a Possibility that I can Adjust the Shift Lever.I broke my Left Ankle several years Ago and may not be engaging it all of the way. :?

Naw I collect Pictures too.I'll try to get more pictures of it in a few days.I changed the Bars to Clubmans and it looks a tad bit different now.

shift

My GT500 requires a double shift a lot from 4th to 5th. Some times it will shift normally. It is a problem downshifting sometimes.

this is a common fault with all T/GT500.
my old bike did the same.

   Thats a good one Moo.

I wasn't sure if that was a Common Problem or If I was just Missing the Gear that bad.I've got Limited Motion in my ankle and more or less Have to pick my Whole leg up to Shift.Guess thats one of those injuries I should have had seen about instead of Patchin up with Electrical Tape.
