Last night I switched back to the original needles. They did look exactly the same as the stock ones.
I will put it back together tonight and try it out.

Helix, if those Keyster needles measure up EXACTLY the same as the stock needles at ALL points along the needle......then those would be the ONLY Keyster needles ever made that are correct......and I'd be totally amazed. :shock: Keyster puts "universal" needles in their stroker kits....and they will NOT be right for your 550. As to their main jets, I would NOT trust their sizing. As Fred says, stick with original Mikuni jets if yours are ruined and/or can't be reused for whatever reason.
Otherwise, clean 'em up with dip-type carb cleaner (soak 'em for an hour or so and then wash them in clean solvent) and reuse them. Mikuni main jets and pilot jets will pretty much last for the life of the bike....unless you continually buy gas at a station that has a lotta sand and/or rust in their storage tanks.
