Where to buy Pistons & Rings for T500

Post by Whit »

I need to buy the first OS pistons and rings for my 69 T500. I got the following info from bikebandit.

The first oversize (0.50 mm) will be BikeBandit part numbers: 478095-001 (Right), 478099-001 (Left). The ring set will be: 478443-001 and will cover both sets of rings.

Before I order I was hoping someone could verify these part numbers as the part description does not make since to me as they are listed as:

478095-001 Piston Set
478099-001 Piston Set, OS:0
478443-001 Piston Ring OS

I would think all three part numbers would have OS:0 or just OS in the name but as you can see above none of the three seem to be size related.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks ///Pat

Bike Bandit doesn't use Suzuki part numbers, those are their part numbers and don't mean squat. Look up the parts on Alpha Sports and they use the correct part numbers.

I normally use Dillon'sas their prices and shipping charges are usually better than Alpha Sports, but both have the on-line fiches which is what you need.

I've had luck with both Bike Bandit and Alpha Sports. Yes, Bike Bandit has its own part numbering system, just know what size over you want and go from there.

Well, John, if you knew Allan like I do, you'd know he's anything but indiscreet !!! In fact, he's probably the only guy I know who actually knows the answers to the following questions:

1) Where Judge Crater actually ended up
2) What the Pentagon actually did with that Roswell flying saucer
3) Who really DID kill Kennedy
4) Is there really life on Mars
5) What women really want

I personally happen to know he turned down at least $10 billion for the
answer to #5. 8)
