Tim,
Nice pictures. Thanks for posting them.
We spent most of the time in garage 9 working on the bikes or taking lap times from above the first group of garages.
Did see Don Ruff from MI who was very helpful with a last minute gearing change on both bikes to replace a self destructing sprocket and carrier.
Weather was perfect for racing or hanging out. A squal blew through on Saturday and caused 17 bikes to fall down in race 8, but that blew through quickly. Not too hot, but warm and mainly sunny. Best weather I remember there.
Tim, did you get any pics of the Laverda 6 outside garage 11 or it's Jota Bol d'Or brother with duplex rear chain. Piero Laverda told us that with the chains available back in the day, a stock chain neeeded adjusting every 45 minutes where the duplex one could go for 3 hours between adjustments.
The 6 sounded amazing - really sharp exhaust note - crisp - almost like a two stroke triple....

Tim - Wow! What a jerk! I wonder if he thought you were from the Kawi board? I know things seem a bit more volatile over there at times versus Sundial. Sorry about not calling - Jeff and I joked about ringing you as we passed through (near) Curwensville on Thursday night/Friday morning but since it was 2:30AM at the time, we were afraid you might not find it as funny as we did. Then I got wrapped up in the race bike stuff and forgot all about tracking list people down. So much so that I saw them roll the Laverda 6 into the pit entrance and then never heard it run or saw it on the track. I also missed the sidecars racing again this year!
Oh well, there's always next year! Plus I hope to be back in your neck of the woods at the end of August earning my license at Beaverun....

I pulled out of Clearfield (exit120) at 2:10am. We were probably no more than 10 miles apart at any given time, we need better logistics for this convoy next year!
I was bright eyed and bushytailed. We didn't stop until we hit the Denny's @ Ashland at about 5:20 for breakfast, then we were knocking down gate three at 6:40. Picked up my golf cart, gave it to my wife, loaded up the bits I broght to sell in the back of it and pulled the DT400 off the trailer and went to our spot at the swap meet and were set up by 7:30. Sold a beat up 4ls750 front end and my 77 DT400, but went home with an empty trailer save a few bits and pieces.

We're Back !!!

Took some research, but we're back online and the errors should be gone now. I'll investigate the newest version of the board and see if it truly benefits us for me to make the updates. Those take a while.
If you get a message that the board is unavailable, that is because I turned it off while I'm making the updates. Give it a couple of hours and try again. This MAY happen over the weekend. Then again it may happen in the middle of the night (my night) if I wake up at 4 and can't go back to sleep. I'll try not to shut the board down for the updates if there are a lot of people logged in.

backup board
There used to be a sticky sometime back on the board advising that we have a backup board for any time there is a problem. The sticky has gone so am just letting everyone know again.
Make a note of the backup board address......and then you can always stay in touch even during board blackouts.
The backup board address is......
http://www.ozebook.com/board/index.php
Make a note because even with a sticky....when the board is down you can't get the backup board address!!
