Hey Eugene,

Does John have an email address posted on the VRRA site? I can't PM him from the VRRA link without joining...

Thanks,

I don't know that he is a VRRA member either. It's free to join the website and those interested can PM him then.

any small engine classes?

Post by Admin »

I recently threw together a GT185 for road use and while building it I acquired another complete gt185 and a few spare engines.... I would love to build a cheap little weekend warrior out of the parts bike but where can I race it? Do they have small engine classes that I could race in and somewhat keep up with without dumping a ton of money into the bike? I live in Indiana, I've heard a lot about the mid-ohio races and I'm trying to make some connections with a Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club board member who lives in my hometown to get more information on racing.

From what I can remember, there are a couple of people racing GT185s in AHRMA.

You can probably compete in 200GP, or certainly 250GP. Come on out and play, I'm currently building an X-6 based 250GP machine.

going over the requlations

Post by Admin »

I've been scanning over the GP requlations and everything seems sensible except they prohibit front disk brakes? I read the regulations correctly, right? They say they allow rear disk brakes if it's original equipment but the use of front disk brakes is prohibited....

progress

Post by Admin »

I'm excited to see your progress... Do you plan on having the bike ready for the 2007 race season and which races do you plan to compete in?

I plan to race the T20 at the AHRMA Best of the West series; Willow Springs, Miller, and Sandia.

That is...if I get it finished in time!!!

Are you going to leave the stock pipes and silencers to run in GP250?

According to 250GP rules for the T20, stock exhausts must be used.
