I agree with new tires, I think I'll stick with the Avon's like I have on my Titan, those things feel great.
I found there is play in the swingarm too, not a lot, but i can move the swinger side to side maybe .030?? each way. Looks like new swing arm bushings are in order.
Atleast after this it should handle better! New tapered head stem bearings, avons, and bronze bushings.

No problem. Yeah, these forks have real springs in them, and air caps. The anti-dive crap never really worked, and this one appears to be leaking, so I'll probably just blank them off. If you want to upgrade your front end, these would be the ticket (1985 GS550E). They're about an inch longer and drop right into the triples. I had to make two 3mm spacers to go on the axle to take up space between the sliders, and make an adapter for the caliper. Not difficult at all.
I really don't know what to do with this thing. I don't want to spend another $100.00 to get a title; then buy tires, etc, etc, etc. UNLESS I decide to keep it. It's really low mileage. I could title it just to make it easier to sell, but I haven't decided. It would make a great little track-day bike. I can't believe how easily it starts; it's instantaneous even when stone cold.

Swingarm Bushings
I am familiar with the T500 swingarm bushings and they look more like part #8 in the pic I attached....but Alphasports says that the bushing is part #2. Is that right? Are the bushings that much different between the 550 and 500? They call part #8 a "spacer".

I seriously doubt anyone could "drone" around in a GP race and keep third place. And it would of been a "childish" for Nicky to possibly fall down trying to win "one race" with the championship in hand. It's one thing to "go for broke" in every race, and another to be calculating. Rossi learned that today. Trying too hard to win in every battle and lose the war...........
And I don't know what Nicky's dad has to do with anything. Nicky's talent got him where he is, a champion. ANY person racing at the GP level makes them one of the top 20 in the WORLD. Out of 3 billion people, I think that is damn special.

Hi Muzza, muzza wrote:Gee parksie, you gave it all away......I actually live in Curmudgea, which is of course within spitting distance of Perth Western Australia. In fact if the wind is blowing the right way, I am in spitting distance of Perth.

i was hopeing to get some tips on were i can stay in Perth. You see, me and my wife has been talking of going to Austraila and to stay there for aprox 1-3 month. How loong we can stay depens on if i can get job or not. I have been browsing several pages on places to stay in Perth but i can only find expensive once thats cost 100 AUS and up. We need two bedromms becouse we have one kid and a second one is one the way, so by the time we can live for australia we have two kids.
We are not interesting in moving around all the time so we where hoping to stay at the same place all the time and that i could work at the same place all the time. When it comes to work, i have two certificate of apprenticeship in automation so i was hoping to work whit that. I have also been looking for firms in Perth that works whit ROV`s but i cant find any.
i will appreciate any tips you might have Muzza:)

well....
100 dollars a night...that would be motel type accommodation....I presume, no good for extended stays.......
Not sure what choices there are for extended stays....have to think about it.........
When are you planning on coming?
Not sure what demand there is for ROVs in Perth.......I imagine there would be demand in the Natural gas industry but that is 1200 kms North of Perth in the Pilbara region.
