There are a few of us that reside in Australia. The only one on this board that I'm aware of that lives in Perth is Muzza

Gee parksie, you gave it all away......I actually live in Curmudgea, which is of course within spitting distance of Perth Western Australia. In fact if the wind is blowing the right way, I am in spitting distance of Perth.

How can I help, Mr Fastbike?

cheers

I have no problem with Nicky. He's OK. I sure would have thought he would have shown a bit more enthusiasm for winning the championship. To sit there and say, " I don't know what to say.", I think lacked some professionalism. Give a recap of the season. Talk about the struggles, the battles that were over come. Something...... Hell, make something up....

I'm proud that an American won the championship. I like Nicky, but Rossi is my Hero! That guy can ride. And, even though I cannot understand half of what he is saying, he talks with such enthusiasm about the race, and about racing. He is so charismatic that you cannot help but like him. The guy LOVES racing. It consumes him. Or, .........he puts on a good show. He's got me convinced. I will end up following him no matter what he races.

I can't say exactly what it is about Hayden that I don't care for; I don't hate him, but there's something....... :?

I really wasn't comparing him to KRJ; I was just saying that I really wanted to be a KRJ fan, and couldn't. Is Nicky a flash-in-the-pan like KRJ? Time will tell.

NTSR.....(Not two-stroke relatetd), GS500 progress.........

Post by Admin »

Especially for those of you who saw this poor little GS that followed me home from Deals Gap in August; here's a progress report. I'm attaching a bunch of pictures.

For those who don't know, I found this bike in the weeds by a motorcycle shop, and bought it for $100.00. It only has 3600 hard miles on it. I've got closer to $300.00 in it now, but it's rideable. Ratbike city! I haven't cleaned the mud off the wheels yet.

Mangled front end....

Now, in praise of "The Plastic Welder" (or Plastic Weldeing System). I've mentioned these epoxies before, but I wanted you to see this. It's amazing what you can do with the stuff.

The 500s gauge mounts and backs were trashed!!! Check out the pics of the repair. This is not a restoration, just a repair. You'll see spots where I filled large holes with Plastic Welder. No reinforcement, just epoxy.

Now, if I could just find a cheap way to get a title. The little bike runs great, and promises to be a lot of fun. I don't know what to do with it yet.

Nicky just seems to be a "delayed" reaction kind of guy. With those odds, I'm sure it would take time to sink in.........

Lookin' good.I see you Found some Tail Plastics. And Actually it looks good with those Forks.Probably Much better than the Stock ones. The original Springs are Made of Cooked Spagetti and the Tubes from the way Everyone Has trouble out of them seem to be the Consistancy of String Cheese.

I grabbed a really Nice SV650 Shock off of Ebay the other day for $15 Shipped. It will add 2" to the Rear and Hopefully Help Support my Fat Ass.As soon as I pull the Motor and get a little Money flowing in from Parting it out I'll try to get Started on Flopping the T500 Bottom end in. I sold a few things this week and Never thought to see if you Needed them First.  If you want to get rid of that mess of Petcocks and Hoses Pingel has the Adapter Plate. The petcock Hole needs to be opened up a little to be able to fit the Pingel Petcock Filter into the Tank.
