Titan t500 1969 Mark 11

Post by Raymondo61 »

Good everyone. I am busy restoring a 1969 t500 titan atm. I'm having trouble with the bike flooding on both carburettors. The carbs were very dirty internally. Here's what I have tried so far. Carburettors sonic bath, new needles and jets. The old needles were sitting on number 3 clips so I kept the new ones the same heights. Floats heights are 29mm The cables are working fine the sliders are hitting the bottom of the carbs when closed . Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks Ray.

Send your carbs to Barry Wilkes. eBay seller bluesmokebaz & located in the UK.
He's a GT750 restoration expert & does a nice job at restoring carbs.

Deffo. Baz has done several carb sets for my 550s & Hippo.

Good evening. I have checked the floats and they are perished and leaking bubbles when tested. Does anyone know where I can purchase new ones. Thanks Ray.

Good evening everyone. Quick update on the carburettors. I have ordered two separate sets of needle valves from ebay and both are too small for the bike. Is there anyone who sells genuine parts. I would rather try to fix the problem myself and gain some more experience. Thanks Ray. Could someone help me to post pictures on here. Thanks again.
