curious about new Mikuni carbs?

Seems like there is lots of interest in new Mikuni carbs on Yamaha RDs.

(Came across this video by chance, which got me curious.)

Anyone using new Mikunis on a Suzuki T250/GT250/T350/T500 twin?
What did you have to do & how is that working out? And Jetting?

I have fitted vm32s to my 71 t500.
Jetting and slide etc is close to t500 carb settings,
just used a hex main jet (110) rather than round.
Also used later needle profile 5FP17 .
Pilot is 27.5,
P4 needle jets both sides.
2.5 slides.
Pod filters.
The main problem is that the left hand carb will hit the engine casing so doesnt fit.
I made 2 aluminium angled inlet manifold plates to give the clearance needed.
Runs great!

New Mikuni carbs installed on the GT250 cafe build. Used VM28-49 carbs & VM28-200 holders.
New linked choke parts are not available. I used the linked choke from T500 carbs.

The new carbs aren’t as tall as the stock carbs. The stock carb cables do not have enough adjustability to account for this.
Used longer carb cable adjusters that are about 10mm longer. (They were in my parts inventory so I don’t have parts #s.)
