gear levers..
Any idea what gear levers fit a GT 250? I need to bend one about to clear my new 'chambers' but I would like to keep a back-up.. There's a few on ebay bu they are new OEM parts and up to 100 quid ! Since I know a lot of parts and interchangeable and the spline fit is probably a standard size I hoped folks might have some pointers. Ta !

Re: gear levers..
t250, t200, super 6, t500 and gt250 are all the same gearlever. plus the 305 and 315 of course. anything else uses the straight type - which are cheap as chips. yes the splines on a 550 gearlever are the same size as the 250, but the gearlevers are a totally different shape. the 250's are the daft bent shape and much rarer [according to the sellers]. somewhere i've got a home made one for a 250 with spannys which might do you. the problem is finding it. if you're in a hurry for it, count me out

Hi All
It doesn't need much adjustment to clear teh new exhasut I dont' think - I might even get away with moving it around one spline.. Also if I can get a compatible 'spline block' from any old lever I can weld one up that should be good enough.. for interest here's the two chamber on my kitchen table.

Re: gear levers..
hi dax, the last one i made was for a ts250 engine in a gt250 frame
i just got an old normal gearlever and cut both ends off it, just using the splined bit and the pedal bit. then got a length of 12mm mild steel rod and cut/bent/welded it until it fitted. then had it powdercoated. a bit fiddly and time consuming, but better than hacking up a proper gt250 gearlever. if you were really pedantic you could have it chromed, but i'm not

Hi DD
Yes that's probably the way to go. there's a GS1000 one on ebay for a few quid - same splines do you think?

Re: gear levers..
In my experience, all Suzuki splines are the same, so a cheap step-thru type lever could probably be cut, bent and adapted, but you can also buy just a spline block from ....I think it's hi-level. I use them for building T500 rearsets.
