Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
Does anyone know where I can get muffler connector gaskets for my T20. In the parts manual on page 11 it is item # 9, part number 14771-11040. If there is no source does anyone have a work around product or material. I have one with a tear in it and am missing the other one completely. Thanks for any help.

Two posts and one reply. You haven't even said 'thanks' to the guy that posted.
Do you think this is a good way to get help?
Try an introduction - 'hi, my name is ...., and I'm from eskimoland. I've had bikes for xyz years and have a degree in growing flowers'. Or something, and you might get some other replies. A bit of politeness always helps.

I did thank the gentleman from Australia. My second post was an inquiry for parts. I think you have been in lock down to long.

Probably so, but it's still polite to introduce yourself.

Re: Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
What composition is the OEM gasket made from? You may be able to trace the one you have and make another if you source the appropriate gasket material.
You may also want to contact Copper Gaskets Unlimited in the USA too as they may be able to help you.

Re: Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
Hi everyone, the gasket I need is round and made out of a rubberized material. It is orange in color and goes in a round clamp that clamps the header pipe where it slides into the muffler It is approximately 1 1/4" long by 2" in diameter and 1/8" thick. Does anyone know of a high temp material that might work or a source for the actual gasket? I have tried to attach a picture but it says my file is to big. Not sure how to make it smaller but will keep trying. Thanks for any and all help.

Pic is here:
https://www.cmsnl.com/suzuki-t20-tc250- ... 477111040/
It looks like the “rubber” muffler connector used on the center exhaust on the GT triples.
The GT triple connector is smaller: 42mm OD & 20mm long.
Kawasaki also used muffler connectors that would be larger that the GT triple version:

Re: Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
Thanks for the link. This is exactly what I am looking for, however the cmsnl.com/suzuki site says the item is temporarily unavailable. The HVC cycle was appreciated I use them all the time for my RD350. The Kawasaki connectors look close to the right size. The T20 ones are 47mm X 28mm. I will call HVC Monday and see if Brad there can give me some measurements on the Kawa connectors. Oh how I love the old motorcycle scavenger hunt. If anyone knows of another source please clue me in. As always thanks for any and all help.

Re: Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
I have some of the Kaw H2 muffler connectors I can measure for you today as I own a 72 H2. These connectors are also the hot ticket for many expansion chamber flanges to slip over them as a spooge condom. I have some new ones uninstalled so I’ll report back with pics and measurements later today.

Thanks that would be terrific of you. I will wait to hear what the measurements are to see if they will work.

Re: Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
The connector IDs are more important that the OD. The IDs seal against the muffler & down pipe.

Re: Suzuki T20 Muffler header pipe connector
Thanks for the pictures, technical info and measurements. Again these for a 1972 Kawa H2 I think you said. If the measurements work I will have to see if I can pick up a pair. Did you get them from HVC Cycle or are they just a source for the connectors. Thanks again will keep you in the loop.
