hi guys just an update - i bought new branded points from suzytwo (Daichie) and though i was a bit sceptical as to the points being the problem - i fitted them and the bike fired up straight away - great result - i have now turned my attention to setting the timing using a strobe light but the points on the right hand side of the stator plate ( i.e. the points for the left hand cylinder) don’t seem to have a backing plate which to allow adjustment of the timing for this cylinder . the points for the right and centre cyclinders do and i have been able to adjust these and line the marks up as recommended .
How do i adjust the timing for the left hand cylinder as the timing marks don’t line up under the strobe ?
No Spark

Re: No Spark
The first step is to adjust left cylinder timing by rotating the entire backing plate, which moves all three points.
Then adjust the other two cylinders.
Then adjust the other two cylinders.
