1972 GT380 Rear Fenders

Post by grumpy56 »

Have seen some conflicting info regarding the interchangeability of rear fenders on different year GT380 models (72-77). Anyone know what year fenders will work with my early model 1972 year frame? I can probably pick up the front plastic part pretty easy, but the chrome rear may be a challenge if there were changes. If changed, will they still work with modification? Many thanks to the gurus.

Thanks Rodent. Yes, so does the Suzuki Parts Catalog (at least for up to 1974 which is the version I have). The "dash" number has changed, but that's not unusual for lots of these old parts.

It appears the mounting points where the chrome fender attaches to the plastic portion is different. parts catalog shows two mounting holes on top of fender to attach to plastic portion, but there are others (of the same P/N) out there that do not have the mounting holes on top but rather on the side. Hope I pick the right one!!!!!
