new member with old suzuki.
as i am new to the forum i thought it only right to say hello to everyone.
i live in uk (south wales) & i have a 1971 ts125j duster that i have owned for about 12 years,it has sat in the corner of my garage since i bought it (with the occasional start up to keep it running).it had been sat in the previous owners mums back garden for many years before i bought it & it was probably best described as walking wounded rather than a survivor, but it is now on the road to recovery.with a lot of tlc & maybe a little advise from the forum im hoping that it will live again.

Hi Taff,
I restored a TS125C a few years ago, it's a fun bike to thrash around.

Here's a link to my build photos on flick/com

Greetings Taff, and welcome to the asylum.
What are you like with bikes? - As in do you know anything about carbs, engines or electrics? No biggie as we can usually instruct you tgriugh most things, it's just easier if you have 'previous' with vehicles.
I have a Suzuki service manual which covers all tge models from tgat era and gives carb, electrical and other settings available if you'd like a copy free of charge. PM me your email address and i'll send you a copy.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Re: new member with old suzuki.
thank you for the warm welcome to the forum.
i have had many bikes over the years, all shapes & sizes.
when i first got into bikes it was very different compared to these days.
no next day spares via internet,it took weeks on back order to get gaskets, bearings etc & if you didnt learn to fix your bike, you wouldnt have a bike for very long.
i am far from being an expert but i am happy to share what knowledge ( & experiences ) i have.
i have a fair knowledge of electrics, fuel system, clutch etc etc but i often learn something new, usually through someone sharing their experiences.
im sure that the forum has a wealth of info & advice to offer & i hope that i can give some helpful input in return.
my ongoing project ( ts125j ) is starting to take shape nicely but still plenty to do on it,i will try to post some pics,im not too hot on computer stuff though ( being as im a bit of an old git etc lol ).
