Happy New Year all.
I think this may go down as one of the dafter questions but here goes!
Does anyone add a small amount of 2T oil to the fuel tank (say 100:1) as well as having the engine oiled by the CCI
Any advantage as far as overall lubrication or would it cause issues like mixture and plug fouling.? Or simply a waste of time and oil?
Feel free to arrange the firing squad!

If the CCI is running as it should there is absolutely no need for oil in the petrol as well. OK add a table spoon/tank of Castrol R if you want it to smell good
Cheers Geoff

+1 on the CCI should be enough if correctly adjusted.
+1 on the cap of castor oil in the tank. Ahhh, such a lovely odour! I wonder why it appeals to almost everyone. Perhaps it is like cooking bacon. Almost everyone loves that smell too. It must be hardwired into our brains I guess

That's a good idea. Premix oil (at very lean rates) keeps fuel tank free from rust and lubricates fuel petcock and the carbs.

It can also make tbe fuel mix weak as there will be slightly less petrol. So if you spank it, I wouldn't recommend it.
CCI is an excellent system.

A small cap full won't dilute it that much. Sticking premix in the tank at a 30:1 ratio will.
