It was a lot of effort/worry getting the boxes from Japan to me.
And then a lot more time and $$$ getting it all together into a bike I could ride with no worries.....
.....except maybe leaning too much and scraping my knees
After spending all the money on the bike, none left for sliders? Use duct tape and an old baking tray strapped to each knee. The sparks will look cool!
A basic end to this chapter of the story here...
Well, I never made sparks with my knees, but I have had a chance to enjoy the VJ23 a little this year.
Sadly I have only put about 200 kilometers on it this season, as I had to give several other bikes attention as well.
Completely dialed in now with the Zeel ignition, fully unrestricted, with no issues of any kind throughout the rev range.
I do have new lower water hose, clutch plates and clutch springs on the way yet.
Figured i should get them while they are still available in Japan, to help keep peace of mind through my time of use/abuse.
Before factory parts availability disappear forever.....
Keeping a small piece of history alive, and wishing I could take it to vintage bike shows for other strokers to enjoy....
It's too new for show organizers to allow in though
