parts for GT500
I have a 1976 GT500, what front disc piston will fit from another model? Mine has a few pits, I am toying with a J-B weld fix, but a replacement new one would be nicer.

Re: parts for GT500
I bought all new OEM caliper parts for a complete rebuild about a year ago. It was all reasonably priced. Start shopping around, Partzilla, ebay, etc. I' m sure I have the suppliers/receipts in my folder. Edit: did you mean the caliper casting itself?

IMO Cyano (superglue) is better for filling the pits in the piston, because if you get the very thin stuff (try model shops),
It will actually wick right into the grain of the metal in the pits. Build it up in stages if necessary and then use fine wet and dry to polish it back.
Several stages of cleaning first though, it needs to be absolutely clean, finish up with acetone.
JB Weld is basically just an epoxy glue like Araldite.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
