Hi, just finishing the rebuild in my T500M, all going well, she started fairly easily and sounds sweet.
Electrics all ok except the indicators, which from memory weren't working before the strip down. As far as I can see I have wired them correctly, when I switch the right on, the front right is the only bright one, the other 3 are dimly lit, when I turn the left on, the front left is bright and the other 3 dimly lit. No flashing. Does this suggest a faulty turn signal relay? Why would all 4 be lit but only the front of the side turned on bright?
Hope someone can help.
T500 indicator problem.

Re: T500 indicator problem.
Make sure they are all the correct bulbs, not odd ones for starters, then go through the connections, bulb holders and earths.
For instance if it's a 45 watt relay, you need 2 x 21 watt bulbs per side and a 3 watt repeater bulb.
Do the indicators light brightly if you connect the flying leads to a 12 volt battery?
You can get replacement relays on ebay very cheaply and they work fine and are adjustable for flash duration if you get the right ones.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Re: T500 indicator problem.
I would suspect a ground issue with rear signals, take a jumper wire from battery positive to the wire on rear signal and see if it lights full brightness.
The relay is before indicator switch so even if bad, both bulbs should be same brightness as long as they are same wattage.
The left and right signals are connected through the turn indicator on gauges, allowing a small back feed from side to side, witch is more noticeable when issues like yours exist.

Re: T500 indicator problem.
It was an earth issue that fixed the brightness. Not getting even a click from the relay, so I'll get a new one.

Re: T500 indicator problem.
Cleaned and checked all relay connections, getting a click when indicators turned on but no flashing. The replacements I see on eBay have only 2 connections, for the green and orange, what happens with the black?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: T500 indicator problem.
The black wire is a ground for the relay case, you can just leave it unhooked.
