Hi SXK,
Sorry to be replying to this post so late, But I have a 1965 S32 also. Had it since 1985 and I just got around to working on it.
I solved all of the charging issues and the Dynamo/Starter issues if anyone ever needs advice on those, but I am having a bad running issue.
In your Manual you obtained, can you tell me if it gives good descript info on the crankcase oil seals. I am suspecting my center oil seal is bad..

Regarding the outside oil seals, it holds good on the pressure and vac tests but has no separation between cylinders on those tests. I am trying to learn if that center seal is or isn't supposed to allow pressure to pass. Its hard to find anyone who knows anything about these motors in detail. I'm hoping I can pass on what I learn to someone who might get their hands on one of the cool bikes.

I have a Clymer manual also, buat doesn't help much if you're going to split the cases and rebuild.

I was interested to see your comments on the chain tensioner. I don't believe mine has one and it doesn't have the chain guard either. I will look into the tensioner.

HotrodJohn, yes the center seal separates the two compression chambers. I've restored two '66 S32's down to the last nut and bolt so am familiar with many of the problems associated with these bikes. Feel free to hit me up with any other questions you may have.

Very cool vintage Suzuki!

On the missing baffle issue.... I would retrace steps where it got louder and go back to that area in an attempt to possibly locate it. It will take some hunting and you may not be successful. Otherwise, try and locate a NOS one. Personally, I wouldn't run it with either one or both missing baffles. Your jetting may be off if you do.
