Re: T500 VIN question
The short answer is 'maybe'. I have a list of frame numbers at this link and also on this page. For the end of 1973/start of 1974 they should be the same, but by the end of 1974 model year production they were not (and 1974 model year production started in late August of 1973 and ran till around June of 1974 at which point they started making the 1975 models). You can often tell when the bike was actually built by checking the wheel rims if they are original. I explain how to do that at this link.RossB wrote:Trying to register my 74 T500 should the engine number match VIN number?.
