It is possible you replaced the wires from points to coils the wrong side of the insulating washer on the points. I've done that way in the past and no spark! check voltage at open points to earth with ign on, Run/Stop on and see what you get, it should be a volt or two lower than battery voltage.
Cheers,

Success!!!! ended up being a dead short on the coil wire going to the center points. Fiddled around and turned the wires the correct way and got fire on all plugs. I primed the carbs and she came to life on the first kick! She seems to be running a little weak, maybe the timing could be set properly. She runs on three cylinders now, idles good at 1200 rpm and continues to start on the first kick. may just needs to be ridden some to work the kinks out. Not a wise thing to do on 42 year old tires though! Only problem I have now is the petcock isn't flowing on anything except on the prime setting. seems to have good vacuum on the line but no flow. should I tear into the petcock and see what's going on? I rebuilt the petcock last week but there was nothing in the kit to build the vacuum side. also where can I pick up some original filters for the carbs?

Also does anyone know any tricks that will remove the crud from the engine? I tackled it some with 000 steal wool and that seemed to work pretty good but I used up lots of elbow grease in the process.
