The fort isn’t much to look at but just think how hard they had to work to build it.
For those just a bit curious…
Fort Ligonier is much larger & looks something like you might expect given the perspective of Hollywood movies.
Its now a popular museum.

The big fort was the French Fort Duquesne.
The fort no longer exists — the area later became an industrial section of downtown Pittsburgh.
The area is now Point State Park.

George Washington later became the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and then was the first President.

Re: Bog Off Idle
I went on a family vacation in 1964 to Boonesboro in Kentucky. Drove all the way down there and the fort was no where to be seen. However, spin ahead almost 50 years and my brother and I took a rode trip to Boonesboro in 2013 and VOILA a fort!!! Re-constructed of course, but really cool. Actually remembered a bit from that time long ago and got to fish the KY river like we did in 64. Also and hate to admit it, but I can't pass up watching a re-run of the Daniel Boone show when I see it on TV.
