Hi all joints are glued with loctite 406 Inc the bracing tube.

I too used compressed air to clear out oil pipes before reading here that is a big no-no. I was fixing to buy the check valve set from ebay since used oil line assemblies are pricey and also have 40 year old check valves in who-knows what condition. Before I do that I will disassemble my check valves and hopefully I haven'y done any more damage than is documented in this thread, hopefully I can fix them! Thanks to the OP for the information and the pictures.
