Sidecover blues

My 73 GT550 well on its way to being finished thanks to all the help and info here.

Problem: I pulled the throttle side side cover off and the front cover clip--on the frame--came with it, broken.

Has anyone every had to replace one? Does not seem like Suzuki ever sold them ... or do they come with the cover?

Also, can't find any used in the usual spots. Suggestions?

Not sure which bit you mean. Can you post a pic of it?

They are still available from Suzuki. You local Suzuki dealer will be able to order it for you.
Part #6 on diagram (part # 09403-07306) for about $2 each.

I would suggest you replace them all as they get brittle with age.
I did with the ones on the 550K just for 'insurance'.
They aren't cheap for what they are, but if they break when you're riding, the paintwork on the panel will suffer.
