Gas cap lock
Ok, call me perplexed. Trying to figure out how to remove the lock mechanism from my 1974 GT750L gas cap so I can exchange it with my new gas cap and keep the original key. There must be a good trick to do it and I'm exhausted trying to figure it out. Can anyone shed some light? It would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Gas cap lock
Thats great info right there.
Re: Gas cap lock
That was perfect. Took both caps apart, swapped locks and then buttoned both back up. Not a single spring lost and there are technically three springs in the latch and lock mechanism! Thanks for the help.old racer wrote:Ian explains everything here.
