Re: GT250 Cafe - Build Experiment
Thanks! The seal is installed and the cover is on "permanently"... Trying to set up someone to mill the welded heads and shave a couple mm of the clutch hub boss so I have enough threads on the input shaft for the bend-over washer and the nut... Also received the two stainless 135 degree mandrel bends (2.25" OD) for the headpipes. These will need a pie section cut out of the inner radius, reforming, and welding to create the correct taper. Re: GT250 Cafe - Build Experiment
I'm getting ready to order a pair of powerbands but I don't know which color. Anyone have any experience on when they kick in or how broad they are??? My choices are red, blue, and green...

I fitted some nice red power bands to my T500, but I think one of them has snapped !
Those headers are huge for a 250 aren't they at 2,25".?

Re: GT250 Cafe - Build Experiment
I needed to get an ID that was larger than the ID of the head pipe where it meets the first divergent cone. I'm taking a tapered section out of the inside of the bend radius and will then TIG them back up. That should create the tapered head pipe....titan performance wrote:I fitted some nice red power bands to my T500, but I think one of them has snapped !
