Detonation Marks On Cylinder Head - A Question
I wanted to replace my GT750 cylinder head as 2 of the domes had fairly bad detonation marks. Someone has just asked me why it can't be used and, TBH, I'm fairly stumped
Why is it a no-no? Slow burn? Hot-spots?

Emery cloth and make the combustion chamber roofs pretty again.
You'll not take enough off to make any difference to performance.

Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

I'm with Alan if the damage is not very deep.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.
