1973 Suzuki GT250

Post by steezin_and_wheezin »

I've been hunting for a GT380 for a couple years, with no good picks close enough I broadened my horizon a bit. The 550 I had previously was just a bit too big and clunky for my riding style and mile and a half commute. While down in NC for a friends bachelor party I stumbled onto this little hottie. 1973 Suzuki GT250. Haven't had much time for her, but wanted to make a thread to spur myself on. Bought from the original owners late wife(through her middle man). Solid barn find, sitting for around 30 years now. Willis had some serious style with this one. She's titled and running but in need of a lot of TLC. I'll clean her up, ride and smile.

No plans to change the look of her at all. Needs new head gaskets, some wiring, a good cleaning and some misc bits.

That's cool! Kudos for your plan to keep it looking the same. Love the patina and the period accessories.
Somebody had a blast on that bike years back and now it's your turn.

Titled and running is good. I would not be able to live with the handlebars, but the sissy bar I might keep.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........
