Badge Replicas Australia

Post by Bloop2 »

Have been trying to access their website for a while now and have never been able to get to it. Have been in touch with them and they keep telling me there is nothing wrong.

Would like a few people in different parts of the world to see if you can get to it, here is their URL:

Works for me.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Not working for me redirected to ww2. Fault says

The server at ww2.badgereplicas.com.au can't be found because the DNS look-up failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.

They need to get their provider to check there DNS records as it seems it's wrong on some ISP DNS servers.

Try the ip address instead http://175.107.130.146/index.htm

One thing to take into account is that these badges (at least the T500R type I have fitted) have been cast using a pattern derived from an original Suzuki badge. Consequently they are a tiny bit smaller due to shrinkage when cooling. This means the mounting holes are slightly out of kilter with the tapped mounting holes in the tank and you will probably need to do some detail work with a needle file to mount them satisfactorily. Other than that they are good quality and look just right.

Cheers Geoff

Thanks for the updates, placed an order with them yesterday for the Cobra, I have heard about the "shrinkage" problem. I did get to their website by using the IP address that AK mentioned.

Fred - I used to have the DNS lookup problem as well. I use Shaw as a service provider, and what I found was that their DNS servers for some reason either were blocking a number if IP addresses or did not properly update their DNS tables. What I ended up doing was manually adding the Google DNS server address as a secondary lookup on my local house router/firewall DHCP config - their IP address is 8.8.8.8. If you do not have access to the settings on the router provided by your service provider, then depending on the operating system you are using on your desktop or laptop, you can usually add the secondary DNS server lookup on your local machine. You'd have to do some research. Note that locally configuring the DNS lookup means you will generally loose it if you reboot and are using DHCP when you pull another IP address as DNS lookup is a part of the configuration pulled from your local DHCP server at boot time. You can get around that by configuring a static IP address and DNS lookup, but if it is a laptop, tablet etc and you leave home with it you just have to remember to switch it back to DHCP as otherwise you won't be able to get access anywhere else.

Fun eh ? 8)

That's a great explanation, having worked for that BIG COMPUTER COMPANY for 32 years, the last 7 in network support, I can actually understand what you're saying. It's too bad when I retired, I flushed most of this knowledge out of my brain to make room for motorcycle stuff. It makes me a lot happier!!
