What's an fpp silencer?
Best place for GT550 carbs is ebay, but early carbs are like rocking horse crap.

FPP means "factory pipe products". I had a set of them on my Kawasaki H1. I don't think they made suzuki pipes- they were mainly H1/H2 or yamaha RD/RZ

Isn't odd how Suzuki was overlooked back in the day for aftermarket goodies?. Sadly, that trend is even worse today. You can buy a whole myriad of chambers for the RD, but is the US there is only one available for the GT's. Even at that you have to order them. Nothing is stocked. Then there are the trick seats, bodywork, wheels and the list goes on.
I was fortunate to find an old set of Morris mags, an old set of Bassani chambers. That stuff doesn't exist anymore and no one is filling the void.
The Suzuki frames are unusually wide, Consequently. most of the aftermarket fiberglass seats currently produced won't fit. The one I used and the one Lane uses are for a Gold Wing
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

I'm sure if the market was there, business will fill the void. But the Suzuki was never really thought of as the performance bike back then. Kawi was always known for wicked speed, Yamaha filled the smaller bike segment, and Honda had the huge marketing section. Even today, the name Hayabusa overshadows the fact it is a Suzuki. Our old Suzukis were touring bikes. Solid in their day, still fun to ride, but just not out there in the numbers where someone can make a profit worth the effort to supply aftermarket parts.

Do an ebay search for GT550 Suzuki seat. jdmscotter does some nice ones - I bought one for the 550 I'm currently doing and the quality is fine.
Acouple of companies doing spannies over here, or have them made bespoke for about £500. No standard pipes about really, a set went on ebay 'nearly new' recently for £2140.
I crap you not.
I didn't bid!!

I talked to FPP before I bought them. They did a limited production run for the GT750. And have made them by special order for the 380. Not anymore though. Only jet ski stuff. They are good pipes but peaky for the street. No 550 carbs here??

Hey.
There's a guy in Western Australia selling 550 carbs for $A100.00
They don't look to be J or K though because they have the balance bar.
Good luck!
Mikey.
