I have finally discovered, with help from a garage, that a particular seal is the reason why my GT380 sump is leaking. I guess it might be a kickstart shaft, but I cannot find the name of the seal, nor does the garage know. The seal is where the arrow is pointing. What is it called? Thanks in advance for all help.
I had to reference some other material.. Had me buffaloed for a while. Where the arrow is pointing is not a part. What they are showing is the cutaway in the shaft for the kick lever bolt. The area is splined.
There is a seal that goes around that shaft and fits in the clutch side cover. Seal part number is: 09285-16002. Around $3 USD. That's my take anyway.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
arrow points at "plug" 09242-23001
it's a cylindrical part massive from rubber
on the left gearbox side,
to close the bore of the kick starter shaft bushing
