Hi, i have a T500 Titan.
is there a difference between the T500 and Titan or are they one of the same. i went to get a seat cover and the chap selling them said the Titan had a longer frame and the seat was 2" longer. is this true and if so how can i see what model i have please, i thinki its a T500M

Re: T500 or Titan
Hello Billy,
If you have a T500M you have a bike built for the UK 1975 model year, 1976 saw the introduction of the GT500. The Titan moniker applies to all post 1971 models, earlier T500s were titled as Cobra. I'm not sure of what seat differences there are, more knowledgeable folk will know I'm sure.
Cheers Geoff

I don't know for certain, but I think you are being snowed. Like all Suzuki of that era
250 X6 Hustler
GT380 Sebring
GT550 Indy
GT750 LeMans
T500 Titan
There were other names used like Rebel and Cobra, but I don't know the cc's
There were only 2 years (76-77) for the GT500, but I still believe it was called a Titan. From reading, the T500 changed some between 69 -71, but I don't know if that included the frame or not. Letters denoted the year of manufacture with M being a 75.Though that's not really true as most 75's were actually built in late 74 - sold in 75 That was true for most of the models.
Never the less, You own a 1975 T500 Titan. Find a different seller.

Suzuki wasn't 100% consistent.

Re: T500 or Titan
Suzuki had to remove the word Titan in the UK market due to copyrights by reed titan here.

The T500 seat is a couple of inches longer than the Gt seat.

Re: T500 or Titan
The mountings are in the same places, but you'll have a gap between the seat and tank then !
