Re: T500 14T front sprocket
Hi,suggest you have a look at Gearing Commander on the Web,with a 14 on the front, the top speed with standard rear sprocket will be 107mph at 7,000rpm. Stock gearing 15 on the front, the top speed will 113mph at 7,000rpm,might be better to play with rear sprocket sizes ? You can play around on the Gear Commander site with tyre sizes as well as gearing, too see what will happen in the real World...before making any changes
Cheers,
Roger

Re: T500 14T front sprocket
I had a 35 tooth Aluminum on rear. It was always binding and wearing quickly. May have been bad chain. I just put 33 steal stock back on and new DID chain, Changing from a 15 to to a 14 tooth front is within 1% of my 35 rear versus 33 stock ratio. the 35 tooth rear gearing was perfect for me,
I can't find a 14 tooth front. Anybody know if a 14 tooth front sprocket exist for a T500?

Re: T500 14T front sprocket
The T500 sprocket shaft seems to be unique to that bike only... odd. Factory did offer an optional 14T and 13T. Miller has a 13T on eBay but, that is very different 15/13 and would raise RPM by 15%.. Little too much for me.
Sprocket Specialist out of CA can make new rears most any size you want. a 35 tooth is around $60 plus ship. And I just bought a 33 thinking a 14T front would be easy to find

Re: T500 14T front sprocket
The internal splines for the T/GT500 are at least common with the RM250. I use these sprockets on my Seeley racer. The RM items are #520 chain size vice the #525 for the 500 though.Vintageman wrote:The T500 sprocket shaft seems to be unique to that bike only

Re: T500 14T front sprocket
I bought my front and rear sprockets from PBI. I use a combination of 13, 14, 15 for my T500 road racer. Contact them and see what they have, my recollection is the 13 and 14 were special orders.

Re: T500 14T front sprocket
PBI only shows a 15T. Can only contact them via web... so I just did. I'll see if they reply.
Think the T500 is #530. If you put the front sprocket OEM# in Partzilla.com only T/GT500 is shown

PBI will only offer the 15T... should have checked on that before I bought the rear sprocket....
