750J AIRBOX WOES

Post by chance johns »

the rubber airbox boots just slide off my carbs. no matter how far i get them on or how tight i tighten the clamp. they just slide right off.

why does this happen? how do i fix this? the rubber is in good shape and they are the stock clamps i believe.

The rubbers have probably shrunk - either the carb to block or carb to air box - or both
