From some years ago I remember a new car that got much better mileage after it had broken in.
Cars also used to use a lot more oil back then.
Engineering & manufacturing has definitely changed in the last 40 years.

Perhaps Vintageman & I will get a good mpg increase after we've broken the engines in.

I've never checked the mileage on the gray GT750, but I might be able to do so before winter.

On Partzilla shows Needle Jets are shown available. Hmmm I'll have to call. I thought they were not avail

I wish someone would make a modern two stroke street bike with direct injection. It may just pass emission (but still uses some oil and its getting tougher and tougher here in USA to pass emissions). Those ETEC 2 stroke Rotax Ski Doo sleds for example are much more exhaust friendly and good fuel mileage.

For what it's worth my GT750M used to average about 43 miles to the imperial gallon. That's about 35 miles to the US gallon. I recall that mileage as it had improved about 10% after I fitted a 3 into 1. I did mainly commute riding.

Cheers
