I have been discussing a few challenges with my T250 in another thread as well, but as it has popped up a new problem I might as well start a new thread.
After running the bike lately and everything has been perfect, yesterday all of a sudden the engine stopped and went completely dead.
I had some problem with the electrical system a few days ago, but we found a way to solve that and after that is has been good.
But then - suddenly stopped. Just driving alongthe road in 60-70 km/h, and it was just like it loose all its power.
I have some power out from the alternator when stepping on the kick, 5-6 volts, and the same out from the rectifier to the battery.
Battery is brand new, and give some 12-13 volts right now.
I have no good theory on what is wrong, but surely I appreciate any tip that could point in a direction to solve this problem.
Regards
Rune

Check to see what happens when you completely disconnect the alternator.
Disconnect the rectifier Y/G & two R/G wires.
Make sure to write down how they were connected so that you can reconnect them properly.
(It may help to look at the wiring diagram pics in your other thread.)
Then with a fully charged battery & the lights switched off, try to start the bike.
And with the bike not running, check the voltage at the points with the points open & closed.

Re: T250 is "dead" and will not start
I will try to check what you suggest. I know battery has at least 12 Volt now.
I suspect there might be a short circuit somewhere, or a bad connection but had no succes in finding any errors.
The left hand handle bare switch may be the source of the error... I have tried to search for a replacement, but they are hard to find.
I have ordered a replacement for ignition switch as well, the old one seemed a little bad - so I change it just in case.

Re: T250 is "dead" and will not start
I have now measured the output from the stator and on white and black cables it gives some power when using the kick start.
But those two cables goes to the ignition coils, and it seems like there might be no power out from the coils.
Is it possible that the coils can be the problem?
I have no 'spark' on the spark plugs either.

Re: T250 is "dead" and will not start
For both coils to go dead at the same time points to a common problem. Both coils going bad is next to impossible. Start at the coils and check all connections to the points, key switch, kill switch (if you have one), to the battery. There has to be one connection that has come loose or corroded apart to just suddenly quit. Electrical problems are always a pain and time consuming.
