1976 GT750

Post by Wayne Meuir »

I haven't been around in a while because of some health problems and I have decided to sell my 76 Waterbuffalo. I rebuilt it from the ground up in 2007 and have ridden it about 2000 miles since that time. I put genuine Suzuki 1st over pistons and rings, and genuine Suzuki crank bearings and seals that I bought from Paul Miller in Conn. Eric2Cycle did the Cylinder boring and fitted the pistons, Bill Bune in Minnesota rebuilt the crank. Frame was powder coated gloss black. I replaced the points ignition with a Dyna S breakerless ignition that I made using Dyna S modules designed for a Harley. I put the modules on a modified stock backing plate in 2007 and to date have not even had to make an adjustment and the bike starts and runs very well.

I have enough spares, many of them NOS, to fill the back of a pick up truck that go with the bike. There is almost enough stuff to build a second bike except for the frame and front forks. NOS stuff includes a new water pump, new oil pump, new gear indicator switch, new gear shifter shaft. I am asking $3500 for everything.

I have a list of what was done to the bike when I rebuilt it in 2007 as well as an extensive list of all the spares. If you are interested, let me know where I can e-mail those lists so you can get and idea of what is included.

Here are some pictures of the bike:

From what I can see seems very reasonable.

What kind of pipe is that, and how does it run?

Wish you were closer to Ohio.

It is a TCE (Tommy Crawford Exhaust) 3-into-1. It pulls really hard from idle to about 6000 and then signs off, so it is a great all around riding pipe but if you are looking for high performance, this is not what you are after. It is fairly quiet, and sounds great. I has a sizeable silencer on it, I expect it would bark without it.

Wayne, you have done some very tasteful mods to that old girl. What length are those Hagon shocks? They look a bit longer than stock, but they lift the rear of the bike nicely.

That is a very tempting price.

I would worry about that nice TCE 3-into-1 on Pennsylvania roads that have a particularly bad rash of potholes this year.
Plus my garage is now full.

Hope it goes to a good home.
