Everyone should own a Mighty-Vac. I actually got mine from Harbor Freight. Originally bought to do the brakes on an MG. Works great on bikes too. $30 well spent.
I never tried, but I understand the best way to bleed bikes is from the bottom up with a syringe. Supposed to work great at expelling all air in the system through the MC resiviour. Spongy brakes suck! Anti-lock brakes suck even worse. I could have avoided $5000 damage to my Aerostar if I could skid. But Nooooooooooo.

I appreciate all your responses. You guys are a good group of guys. On a couple prior post, someone mentioned putting a very small drill bit into the holes. I was only intending to use a very fine wire guitar string. Would it be ok, to use the smallest bit available ? Or not because the holes are so small in diameter ? If I have to resort to taking the master cylinder apart. How is that done ? I've never looked hard at the mc, is there a c clip at one end and you simply remove it. Remove , piston and other internals. Clean them and simple as putting them back in. In the order they were removed. If so, what should I be mindful of ? I'm gonna mess around with it again tomorrow for the 4th time and I'll report what I found. If I can't resolve the problem tomorrow. I may just buy another mc. It's had to digest all of this as both mc I'm trying to get to work. Worked perfectly fine before. And what is the chance of 2 mc being clogged ?
I use a wire pulled from a wire brush to unclog the hole when it should happen to me , its small and stiff enough to push through a clog . This can be done with the master still together .
Hi,with the Master Cylinders you have to appreciate how old these things are now getting!!
Up to,& beyond 40 years plus!!?...for the sake of safety...either overhaul with a kit,or as you say buy a new Master Cylinder

You're exactly correct, Roger. It's just hard to except that 2 master cylinders are now defective. That both worked perfectly fine 5 or 6 months ago. If I can't fix the problem very soon. I'm going to buy this master cylinder to use temporarily. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271381350191?_t ... I insist on keeping those and getting them to work properly as I want the original master cylinders on the bike. But, the link I posted will allow me time to ride and enjoy the bike. On mine the hole was to blocked to penetrade with wire from a wire brush. I HAD to drill it. If that is neccesary, remember to clean the onside of the master cylinder bore afterwards from leftowers and Sharp edges from the drilling, otherwise you risk destroying the piston seals.. As they say - just saying
