Hi All,
I have recently bought myself a gt250 A to restore and about a week ago noticed that the petcock was leaking fuel. I have since replaced all gaskets and seals and it still leaks. I am now looking to replace the petcock entirely but the only one I can find online is for a gt380. Would this work on my bike as i know there maybe some difference in the vacuum.
P.S can anyone think of any other ways to stop the leak, save my spending money unnecessarily.
Thanks, Luke.

Re: GT 250 petcock leak
Depends where the leak is from. The favourite is the diaphragm that has a pinhole in so it allows fuel to slowly drip through. Compare part numbers for an exact exchange.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Re: GT 250 petcock leak
Convert to a manual petcock. At this link, you will find a suitable universal manual petcock for just $30 et the bottom of the page. Might need the adapter as well, but they are only $7.00. Adapters are o the next page. If you do convert, remember to block off the vacuum port on the carb. Otherwise you will have a massive air leak.

I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
