T350 exhaust baffle packing?

Post by mike1161 »

Did a search, but couldn't find anything conclusive. For the stock T350 pipes, does the baffle have any fiberglass packing around it? I'm thinking of going back to the stock exhausts, and when I removed the baffle, it fits pretty tight in through the circular plates that are inside the exhaust. I don't see how any glass packing could be wrapped around these baffles. Or do they just do their silencing by how the exhaust gases are routed through the holes and passages in the baffle and the inner plates?
Thanks

There was a discussion about this very same subject a few months ago. It was determined that the T350 did not use any packing.
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.

OK, thanks for the reply. That makes sense, seems like the silencing is done by how the gases are routed back and forth through the inner passages. Also kind of nice that there's no glass to burn out or repack.
